Contract Questions

  1. Q: What does the contract say?

    A: The contract says that you own all of your company data, and if you discontinue using our tools you will still be able to access your data online for a period of time. You can put your account on hold and start up again later as well.

    A: No, you just give notice and we will cancel your contract the following month. You will still be able to access your data, but you won't be able to add new information.

Getting Started

  1. Q: How do I switch my system over?

    A: You can simply start entering new clients/jobs in the system and get started right away. You can keep the completed jobs in the old system. If you want to add the completed jobs to the new system that is fine too.

  2. Q: How long will it take?

    A: Once the contract is completed it usually takes less than a day to get your system up and running with passwords and access. Once you have access, you can start entering data immediately.

  3. Q: How long will it take my admin person?

    A: The learning curve is pretty fast. If they have any questions, we provide support. Most admin people are saying the system saves them about 7-10 hours a week once they start using it and there are some things they would not have been able to do in the old system that Tough Tools allows them to do.

  4. Q: What if we need help of get lost/confused?

    A: We want you to be successful and we will provide you with as much support as you need to get up to speed.

Seasonal Work

  1. Q: What if I only work seasonally?

    A: There are a lot of seasonal trades people in Alberta. We will put your account on hold in your off season and you can re-activate the account at anytime. You will still have access to your data in the off season, you just won't be able to enter new information.

  3. Q: If I put my account on hold, how do I access my data again?

    A: You can still read your data, but you need to get in touch with us to reactivate all the data entry features.
